We survived now didn’t we? We survived and made it ours We survived now didn’t we honey? We mend the pain to grow in Telluride We survived now didn’t we? We survived and made it ours All this time we’ve been struggling honey But we survived and made it ours In the eyes of Into my world In my world

Windy city weather was kind We made up, we made out I broke a mirror 7 years of bad luck for you and me Smoked up Lakeview frontside Got my glasses up, I don’t mind But I’d rather you not see I’ve been up all night And those tears are made of love And those tears are made of but Honey And everything I had I gave and now I’m Flying Away And those tears are made of love And those tears are made of but Honey And everything I had I gave and now I’m Flying Away Well you know I was looking for a Sanctuary Searching for a love like yours But you found me You found me You found me (god) And I know I was blessed by God Touched by the grace of God Those are tears of joy And those tears are made of love And those tears are made of but Honey And everything I had I gave and now I’m Flying Away And those tears are made of love And those tears are made of but Honey And everything I had I gave and now I’m Flying Away I was blessed by God I was Touched by the grace of God I was blessed by God And now I’m flying away

(I'll simply pray) This place is a safe heaven Come lay down in my garden I love you I miss you This place is a safe heaven I'll leave the door open for you I miss you This place is a safe heaven Don't stand there heart broken I love you Come through We'll see each other when the lights come back We'll see each other when the lights come back (I'll simply pray) All I can do is pray This place is a safe heaven Give me your burden I'll carry it too I love you This place is a safe heaven I'm standing just a few feet away Tell me you'll find the way (I'll simply pray) This place is a safe

One day I'll sit by my father's grave What if I forget all but his name Will they let me help out Carry his widow's black shroud I still wonder what he could have said You'll catch a cold standing in the rain Nice to meet you Alan Hello dearest children I sit and pray by my father's grave Had I known you we would've been friends You played a little guitar Go home it's getting dark And all the stories He never told And all the stories I never hold on to And all the stories He never told And all the stories I never hold on to

Although I've been away so many lonely nights You know I'm back today, I'm back to stay in your arms And though I've been around and lived the life I said I loved You know without you honey, all I do is worth nothing And honey, don't cry for me Although there might be other people in my life well Honey, on my mind, you will always find there's only you And though you say you'll journey to some foreign land Well I'll remember you, yes, and I'll be true to your memory And honey, don't cry for me And when at last you do come wandering home to me Well I might look at you but it will be through the weeks between And when I hold you it might not why I have In the passing days, we might both have changed to something new And honey, don't cry for me Although I've been away so many lonely nights You know I'm back today, I'm back to stay in your arms And though I've been around and lived the life I said I loved You know without you honey, all I do is worth nothing And honey, don't cry for me

I will love you well Don’t you think this is godsend ? Us meeting How on earth would I forget The feeling And when you said You would love me well I will love you well Is there time for one more promise? Lullabies out in Saint Thomas They remind me of Savannah And how you’ve told me You would love me well You were right darling We might be high Wormsloe trees started blooming And golden heathers I see colours when you breath What was the day you told me You would love me Let’s take the queen down the river We’ll watch the steam turn gold and silver Like we did down in Savannah Down in Savannah Oh down in As we chase this dying fire I remember now You said You would love me well

Stormy, stormy night in the heartland River flows down, snow turns to rain You take a stand, and start reading Three bible verses, with real meaning Modern, modern love So far apart Shades of blue and gold, fill out the sky You got it all wrong, winter’s on our side Storms come and go we’ll be alright Every Night and Day Stormy, stormy night in the heartland A thorough kiss goodbye Let’s not pretend You’re the roaring, the roaring sound I scared you off now, with my burly crown The rain will wash us all Modern, modern love, a final plea Thunder Road playing on 93 Every Night and Day Soothing, soothing times, the lights went off Wrote a prayer down to keep and hold you read three bible verses, with real meaning The rain will wash us all

Blossom has blown away Will you tell the world about me We keep it on the fair way Please the world about me Last leaf has blown away Will you tell the world about me Heck what a beautiful last day Please the world about me Blossom has blown away Please the world about me Heck what a beautiful last day Please the world about me

Don't call it Morning Let it be night For if it's not morning We don't need to part Tide's so high they closed the dam Walking to the bay I saw Morning rising from above the waves I saw Morning Dissolving our love away We're much too young for it How we lose ourselves in Morning Morning Please don't pull away darling You were always part of my coven I can barely keep my eyes open In a moment house will wake and You'll go and sail away Like in that Joni song you like The one you made me play Sorrow coming from the dead of night I'm holding on to you while I can. Don't call it Morning Let it stay here For if it's not morning We don't disappear Tide's so high they closed the dam Walking to the bay I saw you Leave

Maybe time will soften us Heavy load on our shoulders What I'll say will never be enough To save us Don't sleep here I love you back Both our fears they'll counteract What you'll hear will never enough To save us Now I understand What to do when they don't love you back Will you stay before the night? Linen sheets for weary eyes Nothing we'll do we'll matter now Will it? We won't save it Oh lord I've been waiting by the phone But no one picked up Oh lord Oh lord what to do when no one loves you back Oh lord Well I've been hanging by myself I've been holding on a breath For aah so long Will you let me know my prayers have been heard I never thought that I'd go wrong

If you'd only lift your weight Fortunately I can relate Ocean of all your dreams Two dozen magazines If you'd only let it out Emotionally still in a drought If you'd only known the cost I'm breathing in your exhaust Clamoring for control Everything i could know 10 years of alcohol Paranoid seizures and a fall Watch me I'm getting strong What's that, my favorite song? Partially now insane 10 years on crack cocaine If you'd only light the way Cause inside I'm all in my head But you'd never understand Stand here I'm just a man And I won't pretend I'm more That's what I'm standing for And here I hold up my hand Stand here I'm just a man And I won't contend I'm more That's what I'm standing for La la la la la la la If I'd never let a person Treat me like I'm a poison Give me one more day I'm only man, but I'm ok

about

Belgian and French singer, songwriter, and producer Penelope Antena presents her radiant sophomore full-length album, "Beamorose." Across thirteen compositions, Beamorose expands on Penelope’s signature shapeshifting vocal manipulation with warm acoustic experimentations, twisting traditional Americana and Gospel stylings into a unique multilayered rendition of art-pop.

Penelope Antena is the heiress to a musical legacy of mythical stature, living and creating on a mountaintop in the Occitanie region of southern France. Her grandfather, Belgian pianist and Jazz-Rock Pioneer Marc Moulin (Placebo, Telex) and mother, founding member of the 80s electro-samba group Antena, Isabelle Powaga, played a tremendous role in supporting and inspiring Penelope to shine in the shadow of their creative heritage.

"Beamorose," a follow-up to her 2019 debut "Antelope" (KowTow Records), is the most recent iteration of Penelope propelling her family’s musical tradition into the 21st century. Contrary to her previous solo recordings, Penelope aimed to create an album galvanized by trials and experiments in ensemble performance - a body of work which radiates a sense of community and warmth. The album’s aesthetic totality comes as the fruit of an impromptu trip to America’s midwest, where Penelope befriended and recruited producer Brendan Forrest and an all-star cast of local musicians to impart their virtuosic talents on her demos.

These works ring three-dimensional and exhibit the true dynamic range of Penelope’s natural vocal abilities - both as a nod to her newfound inspirations in gospel and Americana, as well as in an attempt to communicate a height of sincerity in her music.

Whether through her explorations in group performance or declarations of solitude through tender ballads, Penelope hopes listeners of these songs will be comforted by a feeling of intimacy relatable to an array of personal context. If anything, "Beamorose" will serve as a reminder to Penelope about the power, and successes, of channeling budding connections, friendship, and community into a singular artistic expression.
